Administrative Assistant at the Bioethics Lab

The Health Ethics and Policy Lab (https://bioethics.ethz.ch/) researches ethical and policy challenges in presision medicine and digital health. We are a small team with interdisciplinary expertise in bioethics, philosophy, social science,

medicine, public health, data science, policy and law. We pursue high-level scholarship, participate in international research and policy networks, and conduct public engagement activities.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented, and reliable Administrative Assistant who will support the Professor and group members in all administrative and organizational matters, to ensure the continued excellence of the group’s research, teaching and service. This includes human resource functions, accounting and finance (expenses, invoices and budget to set up and control), financial administration of research projects.

Profile

Your profile:

  • You have several years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a university environment
  • You are responsible and work independently, systematically and accurately
  • You enjoy contact with different stakeholders and put their needs at the centre of your work
  • You would like to support the team with your strong planning, organizational and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Preferably you have completed education or training in finance, or have built up these skills in practice
  • Interest in further training and acquiring knowledge in the use of new tools
  • A very good command of German (B2) and English (C1), both oral and written
  • Your solid computer skills (MS Office, SAP, etc.) enable you to work efficiently
  • Experience in the areas of event management and communication, and an affinity for technical applications and web CMS
  • With your trustworthiness and reliability, you contribute to the team's mission
