Postdoctoral Position in Agricultural Economics

The Agricultural Economics and Policy Group, led by Prof. Dr Robert Finger, uses different quantitative methods to investigate agricultural policies and agricultural risk management instruments with a focus on Swiss and European agriculture.
Job description
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a background in agricultural economics. You will teach at the undergraduate level (in German) and graduate level (in English) in an inspiring teaching environment. Supervision of bachelor's and master's students is also expected. Teaching and supervision tasks are limited to a level that allows you to develop a strong research record in the field of the group’s focus. We are looking for someone with strong methodological expertise in one of these fields: econometrics, spatial econometrics, optimization models, agent-based models, and surveys.
Your profile
You have a PhD degree (or will be close to completion), strong analytical skills and a background in agricultural economics. Proficient oral and written German and English skills are required. Experiences in teaching and supervision are a clear plus. The preferred starting date is in October 2022 or upon discussion.
