Project background

Nanoflex robotics is now in the third year of its journey to enable remote, lifesaving medical treatments. As one of the early team, you have an important role in helping define the company culture. The role of development engineer is critical to the early success of the company. You will be part of the team developing guide wires and catheters that will be remotely and robotically controlled to move through a patient’s vascular system to remove blood clots from Stroke patients.  

Job description

Product development: In conjunction with the development team members and the CTO, work to ensure the devices meet the performance requirements for navigation through a human vascular system for both bed-side and remote in-patient procedures. Ensure devices are compliant with all necessary regulations and standards for medical products. Interact with specialist physicians to ensure the user requirements are well understood and design iterations are planned and executed based on expert feedback. There will also be interactions with technical experts, CMOs, CROs, and/or OEMs. 

Your profile

We are looking for someone with 3+ years’ experience working as a development engineer in the med-tech industry (familiarity with FDA and MDR) and preferably on class II or III devices. The ideal candidate will have experience developing medical catheters, and an interest or experience in medical robotics. Specific experiance working with ISO 13485 & ISO 14971, CAD construction, DFM / DFA / DFC and prototyping experiance.
