Program Manager - Cellular and Molecular Biology

80%-100%, Zurich, fixed-term

The Molecular Health Sciences platform integrates eleven research groups with their labs that aim to understand tissue and organ functions and their responses to stress, disease and therapy. The Aceto lab and the Corn lab are among these highly renowned groups.

The Aceto Lab is interested in understanding the fundamental molecular mechanisms that drive cancer and its metastatic progression, with a particular focus on the analysis of circulating tumor cells.

The Corn Lab develops and uses next-generation genome editing and regulation technologies. It works on both fundamental biological discovery and potential therapies for human genetic diseases.

Project background

Modern precision medicine approaches focus on the deep interrogation of cellular and molecular states. Combinations of molecular biology, next-generation sequencing, microfluidics, and computational biology can yield deep insight into disease mechanisms and also potential treatment modalities. The Corn Lab (Genome Biology) and the Aceto Lab (Molecular Oncology) work at the forefront of molecular health and perform multidisciplinary research in collaboration with clinical groups.

In order to strengthen the two teams we are creating a new position and are seeking a Program Manager, equally divided between both labs. You will facilitate complex scientific research programs and manage multi-party international collaborations. You will be especially knowledgeable and passionate about modern precision medicine technologies, including genomics, genome editing, cell engineering, next-generation sequencing, as well as in vivo models of disease.
